Classic Cabs takes the privacy of our customers seriously and operates in full compliance with the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and the standards set out under GDPR guidelines.

Information We Collect
When you book a taxi with Classic Cabs — through our app, WhatsApp, or phone — we may collect the following:

—Mobile phone number
—Pickup and destination addresses
—Number of passengers (including children where relevant)
—Booking date, time, and journey history
All booking data is stored securely within our TaxiCaller dispatch and booking system.
Payment Data
We do not store any payment card information (credit or debit). Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider and are subject to their own data protection policies.
WhatsApp & Automated Notifications
By messaging Classic Cabs on WhatsApp or booking through our app, you opt in to receiving automated real-time notifications regarding the status of your booked taxi, using the mobile number you provide.
Our WhatsApp booking assistant uses an AI-powered system to handle your enquiry. You will always have the option to speak to a human member of staff by replying "I want a human" at any point.
Please be aware that third-party platforms (such as WhatsApp/Meta) may collect their own data when you interact with us through their services. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
How We Use Your Data
Your personal information is used solely to provide the taxi service you have requested. Specifically:
—Dispatching your booking to our drivers
—Communicating journey status updates to you
—Resolving any queries or issues with your booking
—Complying with legal obligations
Operations staff — including drivers — have been trained and supervised in the handling of personal data and are bound by our internal Data Protection Policy.
Sharing Your Data
We do not sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties, except where necessary to fulfil your booking (e.g. assigning your journey to a driver), or where required by law.
We will never share your data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Your Rights
Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, you have the right to:

—Request deletion of your data (where applicable)
